It just might save their life.
Recently the TV presenter Jeremy Kyle found an abnormality on one of his testes and within two months of having it removed is back to full health - but if he hadn't found the lump, could have been dead within 18 months.
Sometimes it is so easy to overlook simple things like health checks, but they are vital.
So if you love anyone with balls, please get them to do this regularly:

Someone I worked with many years found a lump there. He's fine now.
ReplyDeleteMen are so embarrased by their bits.
On my nursing registration exam, there was actually a question dealing with how to teach an 18yo male testicular examination. Yup.
I embarrased my sons no end when I told them to feel their balls and check them once a month for changes. I'd rather they die of embarrassment than something fixable.
I check out DB's bits everyday! I like to keep them in good order!
ReplyDeleteIt is important. There was a recent programme on Aussie TV, RPA it is called. It follows case-studies of patients who seek treatment at the hospital in Sydney. A recent story was of a young man who had ignored his lump, that by the time he sought treatment it was the size of a mango. I really felt for him and he required major surgery. The lump was malignant and that required further treatment. Hopefully he is now cancer-free, but the message is important : young men, check yer nuts! And older men, get your prostate checked. Regularly.
ReplyDeleteMen hate going to the doctor. They also hate talking about their bits.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing considering how much men fiddle around to position themselves that they don't like discussind topics like this.
ReplyDeleteI tell all my girlfriends to keep up with their smear tests - men should talk to men about health matters but I bet they don't !
